Rockland Rowing had its biggest showing yet at the USRowing Youth Nationals. Fourteen rowers competed in five events. Two of our boats finished top-10 in the country! Only boats that qualified at regional qualifiers around the country were invited to compete at Nationals. Rockland was among over 200 teams nationally that qualified at least one boat. Despite the hot and humid conditions in Sarasota, along with a few thunderstorms and at least one delay caused by a 10-foot alligator, the competition was fantastic. Men’s U15 4x+: Jude Lee, Patrick Cooney, Maksim Grach, Ian Bowen, Aiden Tingling - 8th overall
Women’s U15 4x+: Robert Morris, Cristian Carmody, Gemma Carmody, Leila Morris, Naomi Ronen - 9th overall
Men’s U17 1x: Nikolai Sazonov (Nyack, HS) - 11th overall
Women’s U17 2x: Enya Gilroy, Yaara Ronen - 12th overall
