Rockland Rowing masters regatta

On Saturday June 28, 2025 Rockland Rowing Association is hosting our third annual Masters Regatta. With traditional 1000m sprints, one-of-a-kind relay racing (Rockland Relays), and a beer garden, it’s sure to be a good time! Find our race packet here.

Why our regatta?

  • Our professionally designed and installed course offers 10 buoyed lanes with stake boats.

  • The course is surrounded by beautiful Rockland Lake State Park.

  • We will run all the events that were traditionally held at the Derby Sweeps & Sculls in prior years.

  • Rockland Relays! In addition to the traditional age-based flights in all boat classes, we will be staging our second annual Rockland Relays in the afternoon where teams consisting of 2x, 4+, 4x, and 8+ must compete 500m sprints in relay fashion. You’ll need two coxswains and 18 rowers - half of which must be women. How you allocate your team is up to you. Composite teams are allowed, but this is also a great test of any club’s depth and strategic planning! With the racing visible to spectators, we expect this to be an exciting event.

  • This race is being professionally managed and timed, to ensure a smooth event for all.
