RRA’s adaptive program has been meeting the needs of people with physical, cognitive and developmental disabilities in Rockland, Westchester, and Bergen counties since 2015. Beginners and experienced rowers are equally welcome. Our 8-seat rowing barge provides a safe, fun platform to explore the sport during weekly outings. We have FISA-approved, fixed-seat single and double sculls for athletes interested in competition. We send competitors to adaptive events at major regattas every year including the Head of the Charles in Boston, the Independence Day and Head of the Schuylkill Regattas in Philadelphia, the Head of the Riverfront in Hartford, and to the all-adaptive Bayada Regatta in Philadelphia in mid-August.
